We use AI tools to help create content on Lace & Dopamine, and every published post is reviewed, edited, and fact checked by a real person living with ADHD. This page explains exactly where AI is used and where it is not.
Where we use AI
- Drafting and structure. AI writing assistants help us draft articles, organize sections, and tighten readability.
- Research support. AI tools help us survey research and community discussions, which we then verify against original sources.
- Images. Some illustrative images on this site are AI generated. They are decorative or conceptual and do not depict real people, real events, or product test results.
Where we do not use AI
- Lived experience. The personal stories, failures, and small wins in our posts are real and come from human experience. AI does not invent them.
- Opinions and recommendations. Product opinions reflect actual use or careful human research, never generated praise.
- Publishing decisions. No content goes live without human review. AI never publishes on its own.
Our review standard
Every post is read in full by the author before publication. We check facts against published ADHD research, remove anything we can’t verify, add appropriate disclaimers on health topics, and edit until the writing sounds like us, because it is. Our complete process lives in the Editorial Guidelines.
Why we work this way
ADHD content affects real decisions about health, money, and self worth. We believe AI is a useful drafting tool and a poor substitute for experience. Our value is the human layer: a writer who has actually lived these topics, choosing what’s true, what’s kind, and what’s worth your time.
Accountability
If you believe any content on this site is inaccurate or misleading, please contact us at hello@lacedopamine.com or through the contact page. Verified issues are corrected promptly.
